Supporting Scientific Inquiry with ProVerde Labs
The underlying ideas for the Green Growers Technology Alliance came about through years of painstaking research, and the results we got and the products we’ve developed have been worth it. We don’t want to stop there though. Science is always an ongoing process, and new discoveries that overturn old ideas are always just around the corner. We believe in inquiry and progress, not stagnation, so we’re not resting on our laurels. That’s why, to facilitate further investigation into biotech and the solutions it can offer, we continue to operate GGTA Research Labs in two locations.
Here’s a bit about those research labs, and the work being done there.
GGTA in Long Island
The GGTA facility in Long Island is the Green Growers Technology Alliance’s headquarters, but is also a fully-functioning biotech research lab that still houses much of our ongoing scientific work.
Here, we work on researching and formulating many of our different products, both existing ones and ones which we plan to offer in the future. It’s where we finally produced the first of our biopolymers in the GEO™ line, as well as where we first started developing our advanced materials from discarded plant waste. It’s also a site where we conduct prototyping for all our products.
It functions as a network of scientific professionals, who work with varying degrees of independence but always with the same common goal in mind: revolutionizing the agricultural and horticultural industries.
GGTA and ProVerde Labs in Milford, MA
In addition to GGTA HQ though, there’s also another facility where we conduct ongoing research. This one is located in Milford, Massachusetts.
The unique thing about this facility is the way it’s the result of a partnership between ourselves and another organization, ProVerde Laboratories, Inc. ProVerde Labs is a leader in their field, and we couldn’t be more proud of having the opportunity to share a space and work alongside them. The analytical and consulting services they offer to researchers and manufacturers is invaluable, and their analytical laboratory services make available a new generation of innovative and environmentally friendly testing and separation technologies.
This sets the stage for deeper research in a wider variety of directions, and results in more precise testing procedures producing more complete data. The facility helps researchers develop a finer understanding of safety, product development, and processing. We owe a lot to our partners at ProVerde Labs, and look forward to continued work with them at the Milford facility.
So, what do we use the place for, anyway?
We utilize the Milford laboratory for a range of uses. This is where we develop prototypes of our products, when we’re still researching into the biological mechanisms which will be the key to how our products will work. We then use the lab to conduct extensive product testing, where we investigate how well the prototype works and how we can refine it to do better, eventually leading to a marketable product. Finally, this is the facility where we create samples of our products for showcasing and certification purposes.
These facilities have already been the site of years of research and development, and we’re excited to see what comes out of the years to come.
